Drink Problem
Harry had a bit of a drinking problem.
Every night, after dinner, he took off for the local watering
hole. He spent the whole evening there, and arrived home, well
inebriated, around midnight each night.
He always had trouble getting his key into the keyhole, and
getting the door opened. His wife, waiting up for him, would go to the
door and let him in. Then she would proceed to yell and scream at him,
for his constant nights out, and coming home in a drunken state. But,
Harry continued his nightly routine.
One day, the wife was talking to a friend about her husband's
behaviour, and was particularly distraught by it all.
The friend listened to her, and then said, "Why don't you
treat him a little differently when he comes home? Instead of berating
him, why don't you give him some loving words, and welcome him home with
a kiss? He then might change his ways." The wife thought it was
worth trying.
That night, Harry took off again, after dinner. And, about
midnight, he arrived home, in his usual condition. His wife heard him at
the door, quickly went to it, opened the door, and let Harry in.
This time, instead of berating him, as she had always done, she
took his arm, and led him into the living room. She sat him down in an
easy chair, put his feet up on the ottoman and took his shoes off. Then
she went behind him, and started to cuddle him a little. After a while,
she said to him, "It's pretty late. I think we had better go
upstairs to bed now, don't you?"
At that, Harry replied, in his inebriated state, "I guess we
might as well. I'll get in trouble when I get home anyway!"

NEW YORK, Jan. 17 — Two couples who both "bought" the
same twin American babies on the Internet defended their actions from
opposite sides of the Atlantic Ocean today as Britain's prime minister
branded the sale "disgusting."
The case is already under investigation by British authorities,
but today the FBI confirmed preliminary investigations had been launched
in the United States.
In Britain, where the 6-month-old babies are currently living,
Prime Minister Tony Blair expressed outrage that children could be traded
on the Internet. Private adoption is illegal in Britain.
An American couple paid a fee to an Internet adoption broker for the twin girls. The couple raised them for
two months before they were reclaimed by their biological mother, who
then allegedly resold them through the same broker to a couple from Wales
for $12,000 — twice the original price.
The British couple, Alan and Judith Kilshaw, have vowed to keep
the babies despite allegations by the first couple that they kidnapped
the twins and took them out of the United States illegally.
The twins were advertised on the Internet by a broker who runs a
Web site called Caring Heart Adoption. Californians Richard and Vickie
Allen said they paid $6,000 in fees for the twins, originally named Kiara
and Keyara.
They raised the babies for two months and were in the process of
legalizing the adoption when the birth mother asked to see the twins for
a "final farewell." The Allens allege the twins were snatched back by their biological mother,
Tranda Wecker of St Louis, and the Internet adoption agency in order to
be resold.
The Kilshaws maintain they knew nothing of this until they arrived
in California after paying the adoption agency $12,000 in fees. The
Kilshaws were handed the twins in the San Diego hotel, then headed to
Arkansas, where adoption laws are less stringent. The Allens pursued them in a race across the
United States. The Kilshaws then flew back to their farmhouse in north
Wales with the girls, whom they call Kimberley and Belinda.
Appearing on ABCNEWS' Good Morning America today, both couples
defended their rights to have custody of the children.

Moby原名Richard Hall，出生在纽约，在康涅迪格州长大。他在8岁时就开始自己写歌了。他的父亲是哥伦比亚大学的教授。但当Moby2岁时，他便撒手人寰了。Moby全靠波西米亚式的母亲Betsy将他一手拉扯大。她母亲是位画家兼钢琴手，打扮得嬉皮味十足，并且经常带小Moby去参加摇滚音乐会。这对他以后的从艺历程有着举足轻重的影响。

this New Yorker would go to confound the public. From house innovator to
techno punk originator, thrash metal rocker to inadvertent soundtracker

His 1995 album Everything Is Wrong earned critical acclaim and
spanned several vastly different genres of music. A year and a half
later, Animal Rights surprised many who never expected him to do an
all-out rock record. Variety is the spice of life, and Moby treats his
listeners to some great sonic recipes. His music is thoughtful, honest,
and inspiring, running the gamut from contemplative ambient to hard rock
and techno, and anything in between.
Moby's latest album, Play, has a bluesy feel, with a touch of
hip-hop and other influences, and has been very well-received by fans and
critics alike. It has gone gold or platinum in at least 15 countries,
selling in excess of two million copies worldwide so far. Moby is
currently in the midst of a marathon world tour.
